:: In early 2012, we began the SOW Initiative. As we see God's grace at work, both in and through our church, we desire to better position ourselves to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus. We are also seeking to expand our efforts to spread the gospel worldwide, through local and extra-local missions.

:: The Square. The first phase of SOW began with converting our former "Chesapeake Room" into The Square, a multi-purpose room that is both esthetic and functional. Being the most extensively used room in our facilities, a part from our main auditorium, we wanted to make it a more effective location to serve the various events held throughout the year.
:: New Recreational Area. Preliminary plans to update our current playground space have been drafted. Details about fundraising and volunteer opportunities are forthcoming.
:: Interns. Another part of SOW is funding an internship program, where 4-6 individuals intern for a 3 month period of time. Training and discipleship by our pastors and staff, along with hands-on application, is accomplished as they participate in various volunteer activities and events.
:: Local Community Outreach. God has generously given us the gift of partnering as the body of Christ to take the gospel “across the street.” There are countless ways to love and serve the people in our community. Details about local community outreach opportunities can be obtained by contacting Outreach Coordinator Emily Clancy.
:: World Missions. The first venture into world missions from the SOW Initiative was a Medical Missions trip to India in January 2013.
:: Our desire to enhance our facilities and expand our ministries is not an attempt to promote Sovereign Grace Church. It's actually the opposite. With all that God has blessed us with, we desire to use each resource, to advance God's Kingdom by spreading the message of the gospel in our local community and throughout the world.
